Thank Gerard Baker of the Times!

Please take a minute to thank Gerard Baker, US editor and assistant editor of the Times, for a good commentary on 30 March 2007 entitled "'Israel right or wrong' is not a grown-up debate."

It is rare for sympathy towards the Palestinians to be expressed in the commentary pages of the Times, so please let the newpaper and Baker know that such views are welcome and should be encouraged.

It has been more than two weeks since the abduction of BBC Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston, and more than a week since Arab Media Watch's press release demanding his immediate and unconditional release.

As Johnston is still missing with no news of his condition or whereabouts, AMW urges its members and the public to write messages of support through a dedicated section on the BBC website, as well as to his direct email address.
