Please complain to the Sun and Fergus Shanahan for an awful commentary today entitled "Why Israel is right to hit enemy hard", and a terrible commentary today in the Daily Express by Frederick Forsyth entitled "War images don't tell the full story".

Please take a minute to thank the Independent and Oren Ben-Dor for an excellent commentary today entitled "Who are the real terrorists in the Middle East?" The courageous views expressed are all the more admirable because Ben-Dor is an Israeli who teaches the philosophy of law and political philosophy at the University of Southampton. We must counter any potential backlash from the pro-Israel lobby, and make sure Ben-Dor does not regret speaking out.

The Independent on Sunday once came under so much pressure over its opposition to the Iraq war that it asked its readers whether they agreed with its stance. After an AMW Action Alert, the newspaper said it received 10 times more positive feedback than negative, so let's make sure we once again make it clear to the Independent that they are on the right path.

Please complain about an outrageous, racist comment by actress and columnist Maureen Lipman on BBC 1's This Week programme of 13 July, in which she said: "Human life is not cheap to the Israelis, and human life on the other side is quite cheap actually..."

Of the This Week team - Andrew Neil, Dianne Abbott and Michael Portillo - only Abbott responded, calling the comment "unfair", before Neil quickly moved the discussion along.

Please let the BBC know that such racism is unacceptable, and that you demand an official statement from the corporation condemning Lipman's comment and apologising for the offence caused.
