During the week of 21-27 December 2009, Arab Media Watch published a study entitled "Dubai in the British Media Crosshairs," which was published by the Global Arab Network. The opinion editor of Gulf News emailed AMW to say she read the study "with great interest and shared it with the rest of my colleagues," and a journalist with Al Quds Al Arabi described it as "very interesting."
AMW adviser Guy Gabriel was interviewed by Forbes magazine about British media coverage of Dubai, and by Al Jazeera English about media coverage of Libya and the Lockerbie bombing. Press TV interviewed AMW director Muna Nashashibi twice, about Bethlehem and Gaza.
A Daily Mail journalist emailed AMW saying: "I understand and applaud what AMW is trying to achieve."
AMW liaised with the Daily Mail, GAN, Muslim News, Amnesty International, the United Arab Emirates government, and the Palestinian, Saudi and Syrian embassies.

AMW media interactions: 14-20 December 2009 Monday, December 21, 2009 (222 reads)
During the week of 14-20 December 2009, a senior journalist with a British broadsheet responded positively to AMW feedback regarding the Gaza death toll in two articles co-authored by him; and AMW chairman Sharif Himat Nashashibi wrote to Times Middle East correspondent James Hider about his use of terminology regarding Israel's barrier.
AMW adviser Guy Gabriel attended a conference on reporting from disaster zones; and AMW director Muna Nashashibi attended the Qatari National Day reception at the Qatari Embassy.
A Sky News journalist who met with AMW a week earlier emailed saying: "It was a very pleasant morning. Great coffee, great location, great conversation! Thank you. Let’s do it again soon." AMW also met with the Arab League, and the Algerian, Libyan, Palestinian and Sudanese embassies.
AMW helped the BBC find interviewees on Dubai; Press TV interviewed AMW member Munir Chalabi about Iraqi oil bids; Press TV requested an interview with AMW director Muna Nashashibi about Bethlehem; and AMW helped Press TV find interviewees on Jerusalem.

The Institute for War and Peace Reporting requested AMW's help with a project to set up a journalist training scheme for Arab citizens in Israel. The United Arab Emirates' National newspaper published a commentary by AMW adviser Guy Gabriel, entitled "Cut-and-paste critics give Dubai an unwarranted pasting." AMW adviser Victor Kattan spoke at an event at the School of Oriental and African Studies for his new book "From Coexistence to Conquest."
