The Observer and the Times have quoted Arab Media Watch chairman Sharif Hikmat Nashashibi in their reviews of a documentary entitled "Inside Hamas," which was aired on Channel 4 on 10 February 2008, and in which Nashashibi was interviewed.
The Observer review, published on 10 February, said:
"...we hear Hamas leader Khaled Mishal saying: 'We are prepared to talk to anyone,' prompting the thought, should we not be talking to them? As Sharif Nashashibi, chairman of the British-based organisation Arab Media Watch puts it: 'The West and Israel need to realise that in any conflict you negotiate with your enemies. You don't negotiate with your friends."
The Times review, published a day later, said:
"I would not disagree with Sharif Nashashibi, chairman of Arab Media Watch, who reasoned that Hamas needs to be talked to. As he said, in a conflict you negotiate with your enemies, not with your friends."
