Arab Media Watch chairman Sharif Hikmat Nashashibi appeared on "Ireland's station of the year", Newstalk 106FM, on November 5, November 4 and October 29 to discuss Yasser Arafat, succession and prospects for Israel/Palestine.
Nashashibi also got a commentary published in the November 4 edition of Lebanon's Daily Star newspaper, in which he criticises Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan.
AMW director Mark Elf also got a commentary on the disengegament plan published in the October 31 edition of Ireland's Sunday Business Post.
AMW correspondent and advisor Victor Kattan got a feature published in the October 28 - November 3 edition of Egypt's Al Ahram Weekly, in which he analyses the issue of Palestine at the European Social Forum.
The Palestine Post, the magazine of the Association of the Palestinian Community in the UK (APC), contains a feature on AMW in its latest edition.
Nashashibi's main point in his radio interviews was that in the event of Arafat's death, there should be a smooth but temporary succession until planned elections occur in a couple of months, and that Israel must enable those elections to take place so that an elected leader with a popular mandate can emerge.
Nashashibi pointed out that 2 years ago, planned Palestinian elections had to be canceled due to Israeli restrictions on movement, and such a situation would be especially dangerous and counter-productive for both sides given the present uncertain circumstances surrounding the Palestinian leadership.
